One of the many technical highlights of the car are the headlights, which for the first time in a Le Mans car are powered entirely by LEDs. It is a new generation of headlights resulted from the close collaboration between Audi Sport and Technical Development – TE, a division of Audi AG. With the introduction of these headlights to a Le Mans car, it will open the doors for production models which will be equipped with the same technology in the near future.Audi R18The automakers team for Le Mans will be Audi Sport Team Joest and will consist of 3 R18s. Besides Le Mans, the team will participate in the ILMC championship- Intercontinental Le Mans Cup which consists of seven endurance races (including the 24h Le Mans) on three continents.
